2011.07.11 - 18:02:07 / radiorebelde.icrt.cu. Santiago de Cuba.- The 31st edition of the Fiesta del Fuego Caribbean Cultural Festival wounded up Saturday in the eastern Cuban province of Santiago de Cuba, its traditional venue.

This year the Festival was dedicated to Trinidad and Tobago, while the guest country for the 2012 edition will be Martinique.

The parade to the Cespedes Park, and the traditional Burning of the Devil at La Alameda Avenue marked the closing of the seven-day festival that served not for enjoyment but also for reflection.

With artists, academics, and personalities from 30 countries, the International Caribbean Festival has been ratified as one of the best attended in Cuba and abroad.

It continues to be an alternative in the coming together and the search for unity of Caribbean peoples, says a Prensa Latina report. (ACN)
