HAVANA. Cuba.- Cuban Dayron Robles, 110 meter hurdles Olympic champion, will participate tomorrow in the Paris meeting , part of the second IAAF Diamond League.

Robles, current world record holder with 12.87 seconds is one of the event’s main attractions after winning his last race with an acceptable 13.12 second time in the Athletissima meeting.

There is a great expectation to see the Cuban against current League leader Chinese Liu Xiang, and American David Olivier, holder of the world’s season best (12.94), but the event’s website doesn’t offer any details on who will race.

Cuban two time world champion in triple jump (women’s) Yargelis Savigne will also participate in this competition. Yargelis is the current leader in her speciality and will try to garner four more points to spread the gap with the other athletes.

Other Cubans already in Paris for the competition are vault jumper Lazaro Perez, long jumper Wilfredo Martínez and triple jumper Mabel Gay, world silver medallist in Germany 2009.
