July 2, 2011. The Oasis of the Seas cruise ship rescued seven Cuban rafters while returning to Port Everglades, the group was made of six men and one woman, the Cuban rafters were trying to reach Miami.

Two months ago, another Allure of the Seas cruise ship, rescued nine Cuban rafters. The ship's crew warned about it to the USA Coast Guard  and hours later transferred them to its custody. So far no one knows the fate of this group of Cubans who could be accepted in the United States under the policy of wet feet-dry feet for later benefit from the Cuban Adjustment Act.
