June 27 2011. There is a big community of Cubans in Spain facing troubles searching more economic ways to send remittances to relatives in Cuba.

Today and thanks to a postal agreement between the governments of Cuba and Spain the shipment of remittances will be faster and more economic, Cubans residing on the island will be able to receive the money within 15 minutes after the shipment being made in Spain.

This service will enter into force next July between the state postal companies of Spain and Cuba. The main advantage of this service is the speed with which relatives in Cuba could pick the money . Transfers will be made through postal orders and has as a main goal, the 104 000 Cubans living in Spain but anyone may use this service. We expect Cubans in Miami could enjoy a similar service too.
