By Redacción Cubasí.The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), under the direction of Roberto Varela, will join popular Cuban Aragon Orchestra next Sunday 26, at the Covarrubias Hall of the National Theater of Cuba, to play anthological themes from Cuban musical repertoire.

A privileged morning, in which the attendees will be able to enjoy exquisite versions of "Le Dije a una Rosa", by Virgilio Gonzalez, "El bodeguero, by Richard Egues, "Cachita", by Rafael Hernandez and "Cero Codazos", by Rafael Lay, a tour through the sonority that accompanies and identifies Cubans with symphonic orchestrations from Valera himself.

The concert is scheduled for 11:00 am and the NSO will offer in solitary "Capricho Español", by N. Rimsky-Korsakov, "Capriccio Italiano", by P. I. Tchaikovsky and "Mini Males", by Roberto Valera.

"Todo mezclado", like in this delicious "mixture" that we are, is how the National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC), the Nicolas Guillen Foundation and the NSO have named the concert they organize in salutation to the international year of the Afro-descendant peoples.

"Todo mezclado" is also the response of maestros Roberto Valera and Rafael Lay to celebrate the fifty years of the UNEAC, all together and even mixed up, like in our culture, but so authentic that the diversity of colors, forms and rhythms emanates and authentificates itself more amid the mixture.
