In order to complete the Cuban network of so called Houses of the famous Havana Club, a new center opened its doors in the eastern city of Bayamo offering beverages and a variety of food.

Located in the centric General Calixto Garcia Avenue the institution sells beverages elaborated with the popular Cuban rum, in addition to wines and liquors as well as other recreational services.

Rolando Pompa, manager of the new center told AIN News Agency that the House has not been officially inaugurated but began its services with the objective of getting the public to learn about the institution created for Cubans and foreigners alike.

He stressed that the excess of alcoholic beverages is bad for the health, reason why people need to learn the culture of drinking in order to enjoy the different drinks.

Professionalism and the control of our trade allow us to offer high quality services gratified by the clients, said Mayra Cespedes, worker of the center.

Omar Chacon, who for the first time visited the installation, praised the comfort of the institution and commented that it does not deal with incentivizing alcoholism but to retake the tradition of occasionally drinking one of the best rums of the world.

He added that the initiative contributes to increasing the number of recreation options in the province of Granma and is an excellent proposal for visitors from other regions on the island and the world.

Since its foundation in 1878, Havana Club remains as one of the favorite rums in the world and is currently in fourth place among the brands that have increased in sales in the world.
