A multiple and harmonic show is proposed by Carpa Azul of the Cuban National Circus, which started its 2011 summer tour in the municipality of Artemisa, capital of the province with the same name.

During the shows, 21 artists combine gymnastics, acrobatics, jumps, juggling, magic and other varieties in 10 different circus numbers, carried out by the duet Akroyali, the clown Chori, Cindy in the tense cable and the tightrope walker Blandy, among many others.

Over 700 people from Artemisa attend each day the circus proposal to see the dangerous work with a snake, the works with dogs and monkey and a cat that sometimes accompanies them, which according to Saily Barrios, called her attention because they were impressive, delicate and difficult performances.

Yadira Ortega Cardoza is making her debut in Carpa Azul with 21 years old and at the end of the opening show with the flying hoop, spoke to AIN about her satisfaction by starting her artistic life in her home town. The gymnast is also part of the quartet that works in the mast and is part of an acrobatic duet. She is taught by the acrobat Jorge De León Martínez and graduated from the National Circus School.

"Nothing is easy, we work for two reasons, the smile or the applause", said Yosvani Calderín (Chori), who won the 2010 National Circus Award for his care in the performances and is proud to be the grandson of the famous Roberto Torres (Chorizo) and son of Emilio Torres (Choricito).

Carpa Azul, ended its presentations in the capital city of the province of Artemisa on Monday the 6 of June and is moving to the municipality of Artemisa to then, move to San Cristóbal, Bahía Honda and Mariel. After this presentation they will return to the provincial capital city in order to, then move forward with their performances towards the rest of the territories of this born province.
