2011.05.27 - 14:44:08 / radiorebelde.icrt.cu. Cuba Announces Baseball Team for World Port Tournament in Rotterdam. HAVANA, CUBA.- The Cuban Baseball Federation announced the team that will represent the Caribbean nation at the upcoming 2011 World Port Tournament of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.

The annual tournament, with the participation this year of Cuba, Germany, Chinese Taipei, Curaçao and the Netherlands, will be held at the Neptunus Family Stadium in Rotterdam, from June 23 to July 3.

The Cuban team, under the direction of manager Roger Machado, is made up of three catchers, seven infielders, four outfielders, and eight pitchers.It combines young talents with established players such as catcher Osvaldo Arias and right hander Yadier Pedroso.

Catchers: Yenier Bello, Osvaldo Arias and Yulexis La Rosa

Infielders: William Saavedra, Yordanis Samon, Yoilan Cerce, Ramon Tamayo, Donal Duarte, Alexander Guerrero and Barbaro Erisbel Arruebarruena.

Outfielders: Yoelvis Fiss, Yasel Puig, Urmaris Guerra and Rusney Castillo.

Pitchers: Yadier Pedroso, Dalier Hinojosa, Ismel Jiménez, Misael Siverio, Yosvani Torres, Duniel Ibarra, Yadir Rabí and Gerardo Concepción. (ACN)
