23 May 2011 | 4:54 PM. Norfolk Tide (and Major League Baseball) fans will want to take notice -- very, very short notice -- that Louisville has announced that relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman is pitching tonight against Norfolk.

Chapman, from Cuba, made waves this year with a fastball that registered 106 mph hour on a stadium radar gun, as well as registering a then-record 105 mph last year. Chapman has been given time off because of velocity problems this season. He was only in the low-90s for a time. All pitchers should have such problems.

In any case, Chapman has had some shoulder troubles so he's with Louisville on a rehap appeance. He's slated to start, so he'll probably work an inning (maybe two, depending on how it goes). He has an ERA of 8.92 in 13 innings this season, mostly the product of 20 walks.

Game time is 7:15. If you're a late arriver, don't be. At least not tonight. It's probably worth the cheap ticket just to see how high Chapman can crank it up.
