Prensa Latina news agency reports that the picturesque city, with plenty of monuments and historic plazas, hosted the event with the participation of the SoliCuba association and the trade union of the national company EDF (Energy of France).

During the event, the Cuban ambassador to Paris, Orlando Requeijo, met with the director of the fair, Bernard Bouttier, and with the president of the Cuba-France Association, Andre Minier.

The Cuban diplomat also met with the representative of SoliCuba, Christian Metayer, and visited a photo exhibition in the EDF Ile de France stand dedicated to several aspects of cooperation with Cuba.

Upon receiving the Medal of the city from the hands of the Mayor of Cosne, Alain Dherbier, Requeijo thanked the hosts for dedicating the event to Cuba and gave them details of Cuba’s current reality.

Among other aspects, the Cuban diplomat spoke of measures being implemented to consolidate Socialism and the negative impact of the almost-50-year-old U.S. blockade against the Caribbean nation. (ACN)
