2011.05.17 - 19:14:50 /radiorebelde.icrt.cu. Cuba and Norway Sign Cooperation Agreements. Havana, Cuba.- The governments of Cuba and Norway signed this Tuesday in Havana cooperation agreements on different fields that will strengthen relations between both countries.

One of the documents was a memorandum of understanding between their foreign ministries to establish a mechanism for bilateral consultation. The agreement was signed by Ingrid Fiskaa and Ramon Ripoll Diaz, respective deputy ministers for foreign relations of the European country and Cuba.

Fiskaa and Ripoll Diaz also penned a memorandum of understanding for the Cuban Ministry for Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINVEC) that will allow setting the grounds to increase and expand relations in the social and economic fields.

The third agreement, signed between the Fishing Research Center and with Norway’s Agency for Development Cooperation, consisted on a project for the development of Cuba’s marine aquiculture.

Likewise, a project for the management of oil activities was signed between MINVEC, the Cuban Basic Industry Ministry and the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation.

The project establishes the training of personnel for oil exploration and production, mainly at sea.
