The director of the Tourism Information Office (INFOTUR) in the province, Jesus Diaz-Canel told ACN operations in the province’s air terminal increased by more than 25% during the first quarter of the year, as compared with the same period of 2010.

Diaz-Canel added that the number of flights arriving at the airport from Europe, North America and South America has also increased.

Jorge Luis Jimenez, sales director of the Tourism Ministry’s Office in Villa Clara, said more than 70,000 travelers have been to the Santa Maria, Ensenacho and Las Brujas keys so far this year.
