Photo: Amauris Betancourt The 18th edition of the Romerias de Mayo festival is already true in Holguin city with the performance of the Circus Theater Identikit group (Argentina), the concert by Italian pianist Luciano Bellini, a photo exhibition by Brazilian Conceicao Praun.

Holguin Delighted with the Performance of Renowned Italian Pianist

The parade of the horse ridden carriages from Holguin’s downtown to the Bosque de los Heroes – a space at the “Calixto Garcia” square which gave accommodation to the day’s most significant activity, the mid night concert with singer Raul Torres, whose presentation was preceded by Holguin born musician Norberto Leyva.

The traditional parade of the horse ridden carriages with many delagates on board. The Romerias official opening will come with the traditional parade from the City’s new to old section, and the climbing of the Loma de la Cruz (Hill of the Cross) with the Holguin axe carried on the shoulders of youths from the local Sport University.

And on the top of the Loma de la Cruz a concert with the participation of local artists and from other parts of Cuba and abroad.
