This achievement was due to Dominguez' triumph in Dominican Republic at the Zone 2.3 tournament.

Meanwhile, also Cuban Great Master Lazaro Bruzon went up in the world ranking with totaling 2,693 points, to be located in place 45th, five places up compared with 2 months ago.

Indian Viswanathan Anand is in first place of the world ranking with 2,817 points, followed by Norwegian Magnus Carlsen with 2,815, and Armenian Levon Aronian with 2,808 points.

According to the ranking of the countries, Russia ranks the first with 2,734 points, while Cuba went from the place 22nd to the 19th with 2,595.
