These were the words of Dr. Elizabeth Martinez, general director of the Mexican Group Terrafarma, dedicated to training and consultancy for the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries in Latin America, during the penultimate session of the 6th International Workshop on Aseptic Processing (PROCEASEP 2001), that brought together in Havana until Friday specialists from several countries - Italy, Spain, Sweden, China, the United Kingdom and Argentina among them, the Granma newspaper reported.

The expert specified that, since 2005, her Group maintains systematic cooperation with different institutions of the Cuban capital’s scientific area, in aspects like good production practices, quality and validation management systems, and technology transfer.

She also highlighted the ability of Cuban professionals to assimilate the knowledge acquired in the various workshops given by Terrafarma instructors, which, she pointed out, are immediately put into practice in the island’s biopharmaceutical productions.

The event’s agenda included keynote lectures on risk management, equipment and materials for aseptic filling and processing control.(ACN)
