Santo Domingo, Apr. 20 (Prensa Latina) The beach volleyball Olympic qualifier in Boca Chica was on fire Wednesday, with the Cuban and Canadian teams fighting for the gold.

Having won their ticket to continue the Norseca tour, the men's and women's Cuban teams were more confident of victory after defeating the U.S. and Mexican teams, Cuban coach Leonidas Regueiferos told Prensa Latina.

According to Regueiferos, both teams have shown discipline and concentration, but must work hard to move on to the final stage, to be able to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London.

Six countries are competing in this tournament: the United States, Mexico, Canada, Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
