Boxer defeats Fields for Wisconsin Golden Gloves title. By Gary D’Amato of the Journal Sentinel. April 17, 2011. Donald Fields said he wasn't hurt, but referee Angel Villarreal had seen enough. Twice given standing eight-counts in the first round, Fields was taking more punishment to the body from Luis "Cuba" Arias when Villarreal waved off the 165-pound final in the Wisconsin Golden Gloves boxing tournament Saturday night.

This was a great event as always. I wish more people would go and support these boxers. The commitment that they put in is outstanding. Arias was dominating but the ref definitely stopped the fight early. Arias is as good as advertised, definitely in a class above the rest of the fighters. Hopefully he continues to be succesful and returns the interest in boxing to the Milwaukee area much the way Anthony "Showtime" Pettis and Duke Roufus have done for MMA.
