By: Dayami Interián García. Athens, Apr 7 (Prensa Latina) The general secretary of the Workers' Central Union of Cuba (CTC), Salvador Valdes, called upon trade unionists worldwide to unite as the only way to achieve better working and living conditions.
"Without making any concessions to our principles, we must welcome anyone who, regardless of his tendency or affiliation, is willing to fight for the common goals of the working class," Valdes said.
The trade unions must guarantee their presence in all social mobilizations, seeking consensus to build alliances that make the masses stronger, the Cuban union leader said at the 16th World Trade Unions Congress in the Greek capital.
The world consequences of neoliberalism cannot be faced separately but together, he noted.
