2011.03.25 - 16:25:19 /radiorebelde.Havana, Cuba.- Cuban lawyers stressed on Thursday that in order to guarantee the economic safety of Cuban enterprises, legal advice must be improved.

In a presentation at the Third International Conference of Jurists JURlSCUBA 2011 underway in Havana, Cuban lawyers Odris Mirian Cruz and Dania Fernandez referred to the challenges and value of legal advice faced with a globalized world marked by economic, social and cultural instability.

Cruz, advisor for the Cuban deputy Justice Minister, Rosa Charroo, said the greatest challenge for Cuban lawyers at present is to avoid irregularities to improve the quality of legal advice in the business sector in tune with the current economic situation of the country.

Cruz also recommended that executives increase their knowledge and information about the juridical activity within the business sector so that they can make the most of the advisory service.

This Friday, the vice president of the Cuban International Commercial Arbitration Court, Narciso Cobo Roura, is expected to talk about the challenges of legal advice in the Cuban economic model before 300 delegates from 26 countries attending JURISCUBA 2011, at the National Hotel.(ACN)
