Photo: Amauris Betancourt Holguin, the nicknamed Cuban City of the Parks,will host the 2011 Chamber Music Festival (March 27 – 30) which will be dedicated among others to Ana Gracia Tamayo, a cultural promoter from Mayari that brought to the world the noted pianist Frank Fernandez, but also to the 20 anniversary of Raul Camayd’s death and the Saborit trio of guitars.

Renown Cuban composer and guitarist Leo Brouwer already confirmed his attendance to the event.Remarkable interpreters of the chamber music will play this year in different stages, among them the symphonic orchestras of Oriente and Holguin, which will give the opening concert.

Other groupings to play in Holguin are the Guitar Orchestra of Holguin, outstanding composer Orlando Lopez Soto, the guitar quartet from Las Tunas, the Arte Ego trio from Villa Clara and Saxofones Aries, among other groupings.

The main institutions to welcome the artists are the schools of artistic teaching in the city of Holguin and the legendary the La Marqueta square.
