2011.03.15 / radiorebelde.Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.- Bringing 45 German tourists aboard, the luxury sailing ship Sea Cloud II landed in Santiago de Cuba this Tuesday from where it will sail at about midnight to Dominican Republic.

Cuban travel agency Viajes Cubanacan offered travelers several options to explore one of the eastern cities of Cuba, known for its historical sites, culture and heritage sites.

Some of the offers include a visit to the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, which is a national landmark and to UNESCO World Heritage Site San Pedro de la Roca Castle, which is home to a museum of colonial history.

The German travelers were welcomed at the Castle with a colorful show of Cuban music and dancers.

"Santiago on foot plus Trova music" is another one of Cubanacan’s offers which includes a tour of the historical center and visits to cultural places of the city.

Before leaving Santiago de Cuba, the travelers will enjoy aboard the ship a show called Santiago’s Night featuring a local band and dancers.

Sea Cloud II of more than 100m in length is part of the German company Sea Cloud Cruises’s fleet of luxury sailing ships.

The cruise season concludes in Santiago de Cuba on April 1 with the arrival of Discovery. (ACN)
