10:30, March 09, 2011. Cuba will hold the 7th International Conference to demand the release of five Cubans imprisoned in the United States for spying, an official said Tuesday.

The conference will be held in the eastern province of Holguin from Nov.16 to 20, said Amauris Torno Gonzalez, representative of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

Mirta Rodriguez, mother of Antonio Guerrero, one of the prisoners, thanked the families of the other prisoners for the support she has received over 12 years to free the five Cubans.

The five Cuban citizens were arrested by the FBI as spy suspects while they were monitoring actions of exiled groups against the Cuban Revolution in Florida in 1998.

The Conference has been hosted since 2005 as part of national and international efforts to demand the freedom of these five Cuban citizens, considered anti-terrorist fighters in Cuba.
