Argentinian coach Ariel Amarillo will support Cuban basketball towards the Olympic Qualifying Tournament of the Americas, Mar del Plata-2011, in Argentina, revealed the Radio Rebelde station.

The event will take place in August in Mar del Plata, with the participation of 10 teams.

The first two winning teams will receive the right to participate directly in the London Olympics-2012 and the occupants of the positions of three, four and five will play in another round.

Amarillo will work within a program of assistance to national federations of FIBA Americas, and will also include seminars for coaches and teams from other categories and sex, said Ruperto Herrera, president of the Cuban Federation.
