Friday, 25 February 2011. Addis Ababa, February 25- The newly appointed Ethiopian Ambassador to Havana, Cuba, Dr. Bogale Tolosa presented his credential to the Cuban Vice-President Esteban Lazo Hernandez, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. 

According to a statement the Ministry sent to ENA on Thursday, Dr. Bogale on the occasion said the Ethiopian government has designed a five-year Growth and Transformation Plan to enable the country become one of the middle income countries.

Dr. Bogale also expressed belief that Cuba will further strengthen technology transfer to enable Ethiopia achieve the Plan.

The Cuban Vice-President on his part expressed the need to further strengthen existing relations between the two countries.

Similarly, the newly appointed Ethiopian Ambassador to Nairobi, Kenya, Shemsedin Ahmed presented his letter of credence to the Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki.

Ambassador Shemsedin on the occasion mentioned activities being carried out to further strengthen the bilateral relations of Ethiopia and Kenya.

President Kibaki on his part stressed the need for joint efforts to further enhance the relations between the two countries.(ENA)
