Havana, Feb 25 (Prensa Latina) At the same time of the celebration in this city of the 13th Habano Cigar Festival, the Great Habano Cigar Book circulates in the world, a work by Cuban Adriano Martínez, important investigator of the sector.

With 350 pages and more than 500 images, published by Spanish editorial company Epicur, the text reflects all the details of this product, with a full history and anecdotes.

For example, it narrates the origin of the word "Vitola", now employed to call the bound of habano cigars, and that in other times, it referred to the measure of canyon bullets.

Or "Cigar", in English, that was originated in the valley of Toledo, Spain, with the association of the brown color of the cigars.

The book shows a list of all the small factories in Cuba, or for the collectors, it shows the relation of the products appeared during different commemorations.

Martinez Ruiz worked as an advisor of the president of international corporation Habanos S. A. up to 1998 that he went into retirement and went into a wide work as a writer and investigator of Cuban tobacco.

With 72 years of age, this author in this moment stores four books: Habano, El Rey (Habano Cigar, the King), Las Grandes Fabricas de Habano (The Big Factories of Habano Cigar) and the Encyclopaedia of the Habano Cigar after 1959, to which the Great Book is joined.

The author certifies that his work is characterized by accuracy, after an investigation in all the sources, and possible interviews.

The book is being presented in coincidence with the 13thFestival, in Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium, and Sweden, and later on it will be in Argentina, Chile and Mexico.
