Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- Cuba and Belarus on Feb. 22 expressed their willingness to continue supporting each other against U.S. sanctions.

Speaking at a press conference in Minsk, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla said Cuba opposes U.S. and EU sanctions against Belarus, considering them an infringement on the country's sovereignty.

To develop relations with Belarus is given priority in Cuba's foreign policy, said the Cuban official.

Belarus Foreign Minister Sergei Martinov told the press conference that the two countries are closely akin to each other in the position concerning the development of the Non-Aligned Movement and other international matters.

Belarus has always supported Cuba in rejecting U.S. sanctions and will as ever do the same, he declared.
