2011.02.18 - 18:37:01 / radiorebelde.Four Cuban Boxers to Finals in Strandzha Tourney. Havana, Cuba.- The four Cuban boxers that fought today in the semi-finals in the Strandzha tournament, underway in Bulgaria, won their bouts, including cruiserweight Leinier Perot by KO over English Simon Vallily.

Perot, winner of the Singapore I Youth Olympics, knock-out his opponent in the second round with a mighty right swing, according to reports from the Cuban delegation to that tournament.

“He has drawn lots of attention, because yesterday he did something similar against a Russian boxer” said head coach Rolando Acebal. The other winners today were 48 kilo Yosvani Veitia, flyweight Robeisis Ramirez and super-heavyweight Erislandy Savon.

Acebal said Veitia showed all his class to beat easily 7-0 Ukrainian Dennis Shkarubo, while Robeisis won a tight combat 3-2 versus English Tommy Stubbs and Savon scored two points and left pointless his rival Macedonian Primislav Domovski.

On Saturday they will fight Spanish Kevin de las Nieves, Bulgarians Alexandro Alexandar and Tervel Pulev and world runner-up Russian Roman Kapitonenko, respectively.(ACN)
