Azerbaijani President receives Foreign Minister of Cuba

Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by Foreign Minister of Cuba Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla, APA reports.

Expressing his satisfaction with the development of the relations between the countries President Ilham Aliyev underlined that there are good prospects to improve the relations. The head of state underlined the importance of Azerbaijan-Cuba joint intergovernmental economic commission and said there are large opportunities for economic cooperation.

President expressed his satisfaction with the opening Cuba’s embassy in Azerbaijan and underlined the necessity of more active cooperation in the international arena.

The head of state hoped that the long distance between our countries will not impede the development of our relations.

Foreign Minister of Cuba was satisfied with the visit to Azerbaijan. He said it was his first visit to Azerbaijan and it made great impression on him. Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla underlined the historical and cultural relations between the peoples and governments of the two countries and noted that there is special attitude towards Azerbaijan in Cuba.
