Havana — The Angolan Ministry of Cultur intends to implement in a medium term a project to create a national symphonic orchestra, which will be supported directly by Cuban teachers and experts.

This was said to Angop on Friday in Havana city in Cuba by the Culture Minister, Rosa Cruz e Silva, while assessing her working visit to Amadeu Roldan registration office.

According to her, Angola should follow the example of Cuba regarding the functioning of artistic education.

The minister said that there is already a co-operation accord with Cuban authorities regarding the admission of teachers for the project.

She underlined that the agreement foresees the contribution of Cuban teachers to create the national orchestra and start with artistic training system, from the basic to higher education level.

Rosa Cruz e Silva, who attended on Friday morning the signing of cultural agreement between the Cuban national Jose Marti library and the Angolan national library, also met the Cuban culture deputy minister, Rafael Alemany.

The official, who is leading a delegation of her ministry, is paying a six-day working visit in Cuba.
