Las Tunas, Cuba.- Cuban composer and singer Carlos Varela, on tour throughout Cuba, said, after a concert in the eastern province of Las Tunas, that interacting with the public is vital for his work.

Varela is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his artistic career with anthological songs and his more recent album ‘No es el fin’ (It’s not the end).

The artist stated that he has always believed that it is necessary to know Cuba before talking about it, and that’s why, he enjoys performing for the Cuban people.

He affirmed that the reaction of the public, which is made up of people from all ages, makes writing songs worthy; even though there are some artists who prefer stay on top of the market rather than transcending.

Varela mentioned that although his latest album was not launched in Cuba, it is heard throughout the country, which is very gratifying because it shows people like his music.

The artist will perform, on Tuesday, in the central province of Camaguey, accompanied by Diana Fuentes, a Cuban multi-awarded singer, who will interpret songs from her album ‘Amargo pero Dulce’.(ACN)
