2011.02.04 - 17:17:28 / radiorebelde.Dayron Robles. Havana, Cuba.- Cuban hurdler Dayron Robles is to race the 60 meter event at the IAAF indoor Sparkassen meeting in Stuttgart, Germany this Saturday.

Robles, indoors world champion in Doha 201 , is considered by the specialists as favorite to win this race, his first in the winter season that is usually ran in Europe.

The 110 meter Olympic champion and world record holder in that distance is one of the most important athletes to participate in the German meeting.

His 60-meter title was achieved when he beat by two hundredths of a second US hurdler Terence Trammell to stop the clocks at 7.34, the third fastest race in history, and his second best.

Robles will have a tough opponent in US David Olivier, the best hurdler last year. This is the sixth time the two sprinters face each other, and the Cuban has won all five previous.

Though the meeting’s official website doesn’t bring light on who will be racing against Robles and Olivier, the Cuban Dayron Capetillo is expected to participate.(ACN)
