Cuban Minister for Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez arrived in Bolivia Wednesday for a two-day official visit during which he is expected to meet with Bolivian President Evo Morales, Prensa Latina reported.

Rodriguez was welcomed at El Alto international airport by his Bolivian counterpart David Choquehuanca, who was accompanied by Cuban ambassador Rafael Dausa and other members of the diplomatic mission.

According to the agenda for today, Rodriguez and Choquehuanca will sign a Joint Statement and later in the day the Cuban minister will participate in a political and cultural ceremony marking the 12th anniversary of the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela in La Paz.

Rodriguez, who is accompanied by the director for Latin America of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Maria Elena Ruiz, will also meet with Cuban doctors and teachers participating in collaboration projects in Bolivia.

On Thursday he expected to visit a community-based general hospital and an eye clinic where Cuba specialist are offering their services.

He will visit as well a center for the rehabilitation of physically disabled people also fruit of a mission of solidarity and he will meet with members of the Parliamentary Friendship League and with the Solidarity-with-Cuba movement.

Bruno Rodriguez traveled to Bolivia after a successful official visit to Ecuador.
