2011.02.01 - 15:30:56 /Havana, Cuba.- A group of 128 Cuban artists liven up six ships from the company Viking Line Cruises sailing across the Baltic Sea from Finland.

Sales specialist Yaira Sanchez with the Cuban Ministry of Tourism told ACN that the group is made up of renowned Cuban bands like Adalberto Alvarez y su Son, Yumurí y sus hermanos, Tumbao Habana, Charanga Forever and singer Osdalgia.

The director of music company Musicalia, Oscar Leon, said group of dancers and musicians are of a cultural project called Danza Revolucion that includes dancers from the Caribbean Dance and the America Theatre Companies. Leon announced that the group will perform until February 16 on board of the ships.

Cuban cigar rollers and show presenters from hotels like the Trip Habana Libre also take part in the group.

The program in the ships cruisers, decorated with snaps of Cuban landscapes, include dancing, cooking and traditional cocktail lessons; the group also sales maracas and yarey hats, as symbols of the Cuban identity.

Viking Line Cruises, sailing since 1959, owns a modern fleet, and its route includes cities such as Helsinki and Turku, in Finland; Stockholm, in Sweden; Tallinn, in Estonia; and the Åland islands.(ACN)
