MIAMI (MMD Newswire) January 20, 2011 -- The crew of the Coast Guard Sawfish repatriated six Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabañas, Cuba, Thursday.

The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Nantucket interdicted a go-fast vessel with two suspected smugglers and six Cuban migrants aboard approximately 45 miles south of Key West, Fla., Saturday.

The two suspected smugglers were transferred to Customs and Border Protection officials in Key West, Monday.

Once aboard Coast Guard Cutters, all migrants receive food, water, shelter and basic medical care.
