2011.01.20 - 12:17:38 / [email protected]. HAVANA, CUBA.- The richness and diversity of Cuba’s tourist products can be appreciated by those attending the 29th International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR 2011) that began on Wednesday in the Spanish capital until January 23rd.

Nature, history, culture, sun and beach, nautical activities, incentive trips, weddings and honeymoons, are some of the potentials promoted by the Cuban delegation to the event, according to a press release by the Cuban Tourism Ministry.

Havana’s charms also have an important place in the agenda prior to Cuba’s International Tourism Fair (FITCUBA 2011), scheduled for May later this year, which will be dedicated on this occasion to the Cuban capital with Mexico as the Guest country.

In Madrid, Cuba is also promoting other tourist destinations in the island such as Varadero, the keys, Holguin and Santiago de Cuba, which are very attractive for the Spanish market —one of the most important for Cuba.

The Cuban delegation to FITUR 2011 is headed by Tourism Minsiter Manuel Marrero Cruz and it includes representatives from the Cubanacan, Gran Caribe, Islazul, Habaguanex and Gaviota hotel groups as well as from the Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacan, Gaviota Tours, San Cristobal, Ecotur and Amistur travel agencies.

Also attending the fair are representatives from Havanatur Guama, Sol Melia, Iberostar, Occidental, Acor, Hoteles C and Sandals, Cubana de Aviacion and the National Museum of Fine Arts.(ACN)
