January 19, 2011. Bahamas Petroleum, the oil and gas exploration company with licences in The Bahamas, announces that the M/V Osprey Explorer vessel has arrived in the Islands and has commenced acquisition of close grid 2D seismic on the Company's four southern licenses.

The Company also has the option to acquire seismic, using the services of Osprey Navigation Company Inc., in its northern license area and a further announcement will be made in due course should this option be utilized.

"This is a milestone event for Bahamas Petroleum and adds to the regional activity which currently includes a 3D seismic survey in Cuba's Block L, which is adjacent to the Company's licenses,” said Paul Crevello, CEO of Bahamas Petroleum.
