AIN / [email protected] / Tuesday, 18 January 2011 09:12. Holguin was no exception. Israel Rojas, director of the Cuban group Buena Fe announced in the city of Holguin that it will perform in Venezuela, Argentina, Spain and the United States in 2011, as part of its international tour.

In exclusive statements for AIN, the lead singer of the popular band founded in 1999 explained that these trips will contribute to promote their most recent albums - Extremistas Nobles and Pi 3.14.

Rojas emphasized that one of the band’s objectives for this year is a greater contact with the national public, a source of inspiration for its songs.

That’s why, he commented, we declined other international offers, since they coincided with our wishes to perform on the island during the summer season in the months of July and August, a special moment for Cuban families.

With regard to new CD’s, he pointed out that they will record a new album at the end of the year, for which they’re now working on the selection of the pieces and other aspects.

The group Buena Fe, now carrying out a national tour entitled “Con Todos”, dedicated to the 158th anniversary of the birth of Jose Marti, played on Sunday for over 20,000 fans at the Major General Calixto Garcia Revolution Square.

Yoel Martinez, a member of the group, confirmed that its current tour of the island -15 presentations so far in three weeks- will end on January 27 with a performance at Havana’s Central Park, on the eve of the birth of the Cuban National Hero.
