Escrito por Ileana Ferrer Fonte.17 de enero de 2011, 09:43Havana, Jan 17 (Prensa Latina) Cuba has given Guatemala a special gift with its physicians, who are working and doing great things in the country, Guatemalan Vice President Rafael Espada stated.

Young people from Guatemala are also studying in Cuba, Espada said after arriving in Havana, where he began an official visit.

In addition to Cuban support in health and sports, Guatemala is interested in beginning a program for people with disabilities, because Cuba, which is providing its experience in Ecuador, has great organization in that field.

Both countries will begin planning to create the bases and support for this project, the visitor stated.

"You have given us an example,he said, expressing Guatemalans' respect for the island's people,a according to a Cuban television report.

Espada was welcomed Sunday at Jose Marti International Airport by Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra.hr/rab/iff/joe.
