Domingo, 16 de Enero de 2011 04:22. A few leaked photos from Cuba show beyond the shadow of a doubt it is a Pyramid shape.

It is rumored to be in much shallower water than the so called lost city located on the Cuban shelf. The visible portion is thought to be 3-4 meters in height and may be the capstone to a much larger structure that is over 60 meters in height.

There a several joint expeditions looking for treasure and ancient structures off the coast of Cuba but we do not know which group found the Pyramid.

REUTERS March 30, 2002 – LA HABANA. A team of Cuban scientists and experts from the Canadian exploration firm Advanced Digital Communications (ADC) are trying to determine if a strange rocky formation discovered in the depths of the Caribbean facing Cuba could indeed be a strange sunken city, belonging to a hitherto unknown civilization. “We are in fact dealing with some highly peculiar structures which have captured all of our imaginations, ” said Cuban geologist Manuel Iturralde in a conference, after having researched the site for a week. “I would be hard pressed to find a geological explanation for
this,” he added.

Analysis of the rock samples in coming months shall shed more light on the formation, located facing the Guanahacabibes Peninsula in Cuba’s western end. Iturralde, the director of the Museo Nacional de Historia Nacional, has joined the Canadian firm in its efforts to find the mystery of the rocks, which are of polished, geometrical granite. The structures–reminiscent of pyramids, roads and other edifices, lie at a depth of over 600 meters (approx. 2,500 feet) in a 20 square kilometer area.

ADC has suggested the ruins could correspond to a civilization which colonized the Americas thousands of years ago, possibly settled on an island which sank to a great depth as the result of a cataclysm, such as an earthquake.

A ‘lost city’, that could turn out to be the fabled city of Atlantis, has been located by a Canadian scientific research team. In a press release dated Havana, 14 May 2001 Reuters of London informed the world that Soviet-born ocean engineer Paulina Zelitsky, the president of Canadian-based company Advanced Digital Communications, had detected ‘a sunken city’ in deep waters off the west coast of Cuba, the largest island of the Caribbean.

Satellite-integrated ocean bottom positioning systems, echo sounders and high precision side-scan double-frequency sonar have detected the presence of what are being described as ‘shapes’ that ‘resemble pyramids, roads and buildings’. Their regularity seems consistent with the idea that they represent an ‘urban development’ composed of ‘symmetrical architecture’.

Reuters reported that the deep-sea city is located on a huge land plateau lying in around 2,200 feet (700 metres) of water.

Furthermore, that in Paulina’s opinion the complex belongs to ‘the pre-classic period’ of Central American history, and was populated by ‘an advanced civilization similar to the early Teotihuacán culture of Yucatán’.

‘It is stunning,’ she said during an interview with the Reuters representative at her office at Tarara, on the coast east of Havana. ‘What we see in our high-resolution sonar images are limitless, rolling, white sand plains and, in the middle of this beautiful white sand, there are clear man-made large-size architectural designs. It looks like when you fly over an urban development in a plane and you see highways, tunnels and buildings.
