A billboard placed last Tuesday in Miami to claim freedom for the five Cuban antiterrorists imprisoned in the United States was removed.

According to a report by Granma daily, Miami lived tolerance and freedom of speech for barely 24 hours.

The faces of Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez (The Five) appeared in the billboard wrapped by a Cuban flag and the text in English: \ "Free the Cuban Five \ ".

The Alianza Martiana aliance placed it on Avenue 37, Southwest Miami, after a deal with Clear Chanel company, with the goal of requesting the justice denied to the Cuban Five by a Federal Court in southern Florida.

The Alianza Martiana aliance, made up of Cubans and Latin Americans living in the US, advocates relationships of friendship and mutual respect between the United States and the free Latin American nations, under the scope of freedom of speech.

The Five were arrested in Miami in 1998, unfairly accused of the felony of espionage, and were convicted to harsh and long sentences in a rigged trial in which the Office was unable to present evidences.

The Five were only monitoring the actions carried out by Cuban American extremist groups homed in Miami, which have organized sabotages, attacks and bacteriological wars against Cuban for decades, which have claimed thousands of lives and wounded people, in addition to the huge economic harms.

While The Five serve unfair imprisonment, connoted terrorists walk Miami streets freely, among them Luis Posada Carriles, who is tried at the moment in El Paso, Texas, for migratory issues alone and not for the several crimes committed. (Translated by Radio Angulo)
