The protocol allows for products new to the Cuban market, including roses, rice, tabacco, cotton yarn, fabrics and cables.

The objective of the protocol is to promote the expansion and diversification of bilateral trade, with emphasis on goods produced by small and medium producers and the handicraft sector.

The Economic Complementation Agreement with Cuba signed in Montevideo on March 10, 2010 seeks to facilitate and promote trade diversification and operations associated with it.

Exports to Cuba in 2009 reached a value of approximately 10.2 million dollars, with an average growth of 18 percent between 2005 and 2009.hr/as/yrc/prl. Modificado el ( domingo, 09 de enero de 2011 ).
