2011-01-07. Canjet has been given the green light to operate scheduled international air services between Canada and Cuba, Jamaica and the Bahamas.

“These designations will provide additional flight choices for consumers travelling between Canada and these three sun destinations,” said Transport Minister Chuck Strahl. “They also contribute to the growth of the Canadian air industry, providing economic benefits to Canadian airports, as well as the Canadian tourism and business sectors.”

Under Canada’s Multiple Designation policy, all Canadian air carriers may apply to the Minister of Transport for designation to operate scheduled international air services. These designations were made possible by the air transport agreements already in place with the three countries.
