Escrito por Raquel Maria Garcia Alvarez.Algiers, Jan 2 (Prensa Latina) In a message to Cuban President Raul Castro, Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika expressed his "great happiness for the quality of their friendly, supportive bilateral relations," according to diplomatic sources in Algiers.

"I am pleased to express my great satisfaction at the quality of the longstanding relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between our two countries and the increasing strength they have gained in the last few years," Bouteflika expressed in his message to mark the 52th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

In the text, the Algerian president reaffirmed his readiness to continue working with the Cuban president to strengthen these links even further and his willingness "to extol the achievements and breakthroughs of the Cuban people since the triumph of the Revolution, which marked a turning point in the history of your country."

Bouteflika concluded his message describing as "glorious" the political process led by Fidel Castro in 1959 and currently headed by Raul Castro, wishing both friends the best.

"My warmest congratulations and sincere wishes of health and happiness to you, and progress and prosperity to the friendly Cuban people," he said.rab/rma/et/ucl
