High Point takes on Cuban kids

UK sales house High Point Media Group has picked up a one-off doc from an award-winning international film director for worldwide distribution.

The latest documentary from Estela Bravo is called Operation Peter Pan: Flying Back to Cuba and won a Coral award at Havana's Film Festival earlier this month. It delves into the controversy surrounding Cuba's 'lost generation' of children who were sent to the US in the 1960s by their parents.

Bravo’s filmography includes more than 30 documentaries, including Fidel - The Untold Story and Who Am I: The Found Children of Argentina, for UK net Channel 4. She has also produced docs for worldwide broadcasters including PBS (US), CBC (Canada), Rai TV (Italy), Canal+ (France) and ABC (Australia).

Last month, High Point picked up Londoners (29x60'), a drama shot by Polish producers in London. The series covers the plight of a group of Polish immigrants in the British capital. It was commissioned by Polish broadcaster TVP1 and coproduced by Polish prodco Telemark and the UK's Twilight Films.
