By: Tomas Armenteros Crespo. Havana, Dec 4 (Prensa Latina) Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Cuba are showing Saturday some of their strongest proposals to win the awards at the Latin American Film Festival in Havana.

Represented in the event by 88 works in different sections, Argentina will open with "Carancho" by Diego Trapero, "La Mirada Invisible" by Diego Lerman and "Port u Culpa" by Anahi Berner.

Chile will present "Post Mortem" of Pablo Larrain, and "La Vida de los Peces" by Matias Bize.

Cuba is showing "Afinidades" by Cuban actors Jorge Perugorria and Vladimir Cruz as directors, and Jorge Molina Enriquez with his film "Molina es Feroz"

Mexico is exhibiting several short films and documentaries, among them "Verano de Goliat" by Nicolas Pereda and "Alamar" by Pedro Gonzalez Rubio.

Other films will be screened in 13 cinemas.

Specialists from the Actors Foundation, the Buñuel Institute, and the Ibero-American Films Crossing Borders, among them Jan Miller, Rafael Linares and Vanessa Ragone, will reportedly lead a seminar for Ibero-American students.mh/tac ag/may
