04 de diciembre de 2010, 12:46. Matanzas, Cuba, Dec 4 (Prensa Latina) As part of the policy of the Cuban authorities to diversify tourism, the chain Hoteles Encanto, or Hoteles E, opened a new establishment in this city, its 10th on the island.

The hotel fulfils the requisites of Hoteles E that looks for old buildings, close to historical places, and with cultural values and glamour.

The Velasco is located in front of Parque de la Libertad on Contreras Street, Matanzas. It's a refined and luxurious lodging with a four-star category.

The Ministry of Tourism reported, for its part, that the number of tourists from Argentina that came to Cuba last month broke the record set in November 2000, with 54,185 arrivals.

November figures show that the Argentinean market grew for Cuba in more than 20 percent.

The authorities attribute this increase to the implementation of the current promotion campaign on Cuban tourism, called Autentica Cuba.mh/tac/jl/rfc
