Aimeé García Cordero, Tourism Ministry commercial specialist in the territory told AIN that visitors can also enjoy excursions into the Iguana Valley and equestrian tours through Yaguanabo Arriba in Cienfuegos Escambray.

The guest capacity in installations like Villa Guajimico will also be expanded, while the extra-hotel activities are being strengthened promoting options for everyone.

García Cordero also stressed the increased number of flights from Canada - considered the principal tourists emitter to Cuba-with two per week starting next December.

Ginetet Nualla, from the Cienfuegos Infotur team, referred to the improved information services with that company in the Jaime González airport to answer the concerns of the new arrivals.

She said that the specialists could make suggestions of the best sites to visit, the major means of transport, restaurants and other recreation spaces.

The so-called Pearl of the South now has 800 hotel rooms in excellent facilities, of those 200 are in the city and the rest in beach and mountain areas.
