Another official roadside food stand opens in Havana

Havana province has inaugurated its ninth roadside farmers' stand in Güira de Melena, TV Camagüey reported Thursday. The province plans to install 30 of them along its highways.
The latest stand, operated by a local cooperative and a state farm, sells produce, fruits and prepared food to passing cars and buses.The idea is to discourage individual vendors who sell to travelers from the side of the road as private entrepreneurs.
