2010.10.25 - 11:04:44 / [email protected]. HAVANA, CUBA.- “I’m very satisfied with the results of this stay in the Island because we analyzed the possibility of increasing the cooperation of Cuban sports specialists in our country,” said Hachemi Djiar, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Algeria, who concluded a five-day day official visit to Cuba.

During his stay in the island, the visitor met, among other local authorities, with the president of the Cuban Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), Christian Jimenez, and with the First Secretary of the Young Communist League (UJC), Liudmila Alamo Dueñas.

During these meetings, Djiar ratified his country’s rejection of the US economic, trade and financial blockade against the island.

The Algerian official and his accompanying delegation visited the Giraldo Cordova Cardin Higher School for the Training of High Performance Athletes, the International School of Physical Education and Sports and the Anti-Doping Laboratory of Havana.
