Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez made capitalism responsible for the economic model and the billion hungry people in the planet, in a statement in this capital Thursday.

Chavez urged the construction of a new world to keep on opening ways for "our children to live much better."

In a press conference together with his Syrian counterpart Bashar Al-Assad, Chavez said the lies by those who promote capitalism want to show it as a good path for real development.

"However, each day rich people are much richer and poor people are much poorer, despite so much technology," he stated.

On the agreements with nations already visited in his tour, such as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Iran, he said the results are already being seen.

Chavez mentioned some of the agreements: to produce banana, cacao and coffee for export to Russia, an agreement to develop nuclear energy in Venezuela, a binational bank with a main office in Moscow, a second office in Caracas and another in Beijing, China.

Also, there is an agreement to build 10,000 homes in Fort Tiuna, a military headquarters in Caracas, agreements for the development of other sectors such as the car industry, construction material, and an oil trade agreement with Belarus.

With Syria, there is the construction of an oil refinery, with capacity to process 140,000 of crude daily, which will count on the investment of Iran and Malaysia.
